STAGE 3 WATER RESTRICTIONS REMAIN IN EFFECT
As residents return home, please remember that the Village of Clinton remains under Stage 3 water restrictions.
Under Stage 3:
- Do not water lawns. This includes watering your lawn by hand with a hose.
- Do not use lawn sprinklers or soaker hoses.
- You may hand-water flower and vegetable gardens, planters, shrubs and trees using a hose with an automatic shut-off nozzle.
- Do not fill or refill pools, hot tubs, ponds or ornamental fountains.
- Ornamental fountains must not be operated.
The bylaw does allow water to be used in certain circumstances for health and safety or to prevent or control fires. This does not permit regular lawn watering.
Please be aware that these restrictions are enforceable under Village bylaw. A person who contravenes the bylaw may be subject to a fine of $200. A continuing offence may constitute a separate offence for each day it continues.
We know many residents are returning to properties that need significant care after several weeks away. Please help protect Clinton’s water supply by following the Stage 3 restrictions while you clean up and begin the work of settling back in.
Thank you for conserving water and helping ensure there is enough available for essential community needs.
