July 31, 2026 (AM) Update
We are grateful to report that despite increased wildfire yesterday (July 30), no additional property impacts within the Village have been identified since the previous day’s assessments.
BC Wildfire Service has advised that the next phase of the planned ignition north of Clinton will NOT proceed today due to unfavourable conditions. We will continue to update residents on this operation as we receive updates.
While Clinton has been fortunate in many respects thus far, our thoughts remain with our neighbours in surrounding areas who have experienced losses as a result of this wildfire. We are also thinking of the residents and communities north of us who are now facing evacuation orders/alerts and the uncertainty that comes with this situation. Our hearts are with everyone affected as this challenging situation continues and we are committed to assisting our friends and neighbours once we are able to return.
