Interested candidates can inquire at the Village Office. Upon completion of a short ten minute pre-candidate orientation, the individual will be given their nomination documents.

2026 Election Documents – School Trustee
Candidate Nomination Information – School Trustee
The Village of Clinton is also responsible for administering certain election functions for the School District No. 74 (Gold Trail) Rural Area C Trustee election.
The Candidate Nomination Package provides the forms and instructions required for individuals seeking election as a school trustee. The package includes the candidate checklist, nomination documents, declarations and forms relating to financial agents, official agents and scrutineers.
Candidates should review the complete package carefully and ensure that all required forms are completed and submitted to the Chief Election Officer. The package also outlines eligibility requirements, including being at least 18 years of age on general voting day, being a Canadian citizen, having been a resident of British Columbia for at least six months, and not being disqualified from holding office.

Chief Election Officials
The official appointment documents establish the election administration responsibilities for the 2026 School District No. 74 Rural Area C Trustee election.
Brian Doddridge has been appointed as a Presiding Election Official for the Rural Area C Trustee election and has been designated to receive nomination papers and exercise delegated authority relating to solemn declarations. The appointment was made by Chief Election Officer Barbara Ross on August 7, 2026.
The appointment also includes the requirement that the Presiding Election Official carry out the role impartially, preserve the secrecy of the ballot and refrain from attempting to influence electors.
