Evacuation Alert map for the Village of Clinton and surrounding TNRD areas due to the Fiftynine Creek Wildfire, effective July 22, 2026 at 4:30 p.m.

The Village of Clinton has issued an Evacuation Alert for approximately 495 addressed properties within the Village due to the Fiftynine Creek Wildfire.

An Evacuation Alert is not an order to leave at this time. Residents should be prepared to

evacuate on short notice by gathering medications, identification, important documents, clothing, food, water and supplies for pets or dependants.

The Village remains under water restrictions. Please do not run sprinklers, as water resources must be preserved for firefighting crews.

Residents should monitor Voyent Alert, the Village of Clinton website and official Village social-media channels for current information. Information about surrounding TNRD areas is available through eoc.tnrd.ca and emergencyinfobc.ca.

Anyone requiring transportation assistance should contact the Village of Clinton at 250-459-2261.

What You Should Do While the Evacuation Alert Is in Effect

  • Locate all family members and choose a meeting place outside the evacuation area in case an Evacuation Order is issued while you are separated.
  • Prepare a grab-and-go bag with clothing, toiletries, food, water and medications.
  • Gather essential items for quick departure, including:
    • Government-issued identification
    • Medications and eyeglasses
    • Insurance, credit and mortgage information
    • Important documents and valuable papers
    • Supplies for children, dependants and pets
    • Keepsakes, if time and space permit
  • Arrange to stay with family or friends, where possible.
  • Prepare to assist children, people with disabilities and neighbours who may need help.
  • Prepare to take pets with you. Move livestock and large animals to a safe area, where possible.
  • Livestock producers should have their Premises ID available in case support is required.
  • Arrange transportation for everyone in your household and keep vehicle fuel tanks filled.
  • Do not set up sprinklers. The Village remains under water restrictions, and water must be conserved for firefighting crews.
