While in Clinton, take a step back in time and try the Historic Walking Tour and take note of local hospitality while enjoying a peaceful stroll through our downtown area. Don't forget to visit local shops for some of the best antique and vintage shopping in the Province, or to find great local art and other locally made and curated items.
In May, you can attend Clinton Western Heritage week beginning with the famous Clinton Annual Ball on May Long weekend. The Annual Ball began in 1867 and is the longest surviving event of its type in Canada. During the week following, explore your choice of activities including, an Open House at the Museum, the ever-popular Old Timers' Tea, the Cowboy Dinner Theatre, a Parade, the Rodeo weekend, and more. The Rodeo is a British Columbia Rodeo Association sanctioned two-day event and includes a Rodeo Dance, 4H Steak Barbeque, and a pancake breakfast.
Clinton is located in one of the most pristine natural environments in the world. With a large number of Provincial Parks in our backyard as well as a number of parks and trails within the Village, options for outdoor exploration and adventure are endless.
In the winter, wide snowy vistas provide unlimited opportunities for snowmobilers, snowshoers, and cross-country skiers. The Clinton Snow Jockey Club maintains over 60 kilometers of marked ski trails that are groomed regularly and easily accessed 15 kilometers outside Clinton. Try a winter sport at Clinton's indoor ice rink or curling rink, or visit a local lake for ice fishing or outdoor skating.
In the summer, our trails continue to offer exploration options for those on foot, hoove, or tire. The mountains and meadows that surround Clinton offer the perfect conditions for hiking, mountain biking, gravel biking, and horseback riding. Local lakes offer fabulous fishing and incredible scenery. Try an organized activity or two with one of the resorts, ranches, or inns in the region. Guests can experience working on a cattle ranch or engage in other outdoor recreational activities like horseback riding and fishing.
