Emergency Social Services

The Clinton Emergency Social Services Team is under the umbrella of the Thompson Nicola Regional District (TNRD) and serves the Village of Clinton and the surrounding area. In 2017 the TNRD partnered with the Canadian Red Cross Society to deliver training and support to ESS during an event.

The ESS team consists of volunteers under the guidance of the coordinator Nancy Rempel.

The ESS team was a vital component during the 2009 Kelly Creek fire near Clinton, supporting evacuated residents, by setting up and staffing an ESS Reception Centre. The Clinton ESS team has also been called out to support neighbouring communities during Emergency events.
