In addition to the numerous opportunities for outdoor recreation, Clinton also is home to up-to-date facilities for indoor recreation, shown below.
47 MILE SPORTS COMPLEX
The arena is available for rent with ice or as a dry surface (seasonally) to accommodate large gatherings.
The most recent dry surface event was the 150th Annual Ball held in 2017. The arena was transformed with fabric draping, portable walls, and a rented dance floor, turning the arena into a formal venue. Ice time is affordably priced. The 47 Mile Sports Complex could be the perfect venue for an annual hockey tournament or private skate party.

Curling Rink
The Clinton Curling Rink is operated by the Curling Club in collaboration with the Village of Clinton. Curling begins in November and ends in early March. League nights are Tuesdays and Thursdays, new members are always welcome to come and try the sport. The facility features two lanes of ice, a spectator gallery, concession, and an upstairs lounge area. READ MORE >
The ice plant is shared between the 47 Mile Sports Complex and the Curling Rink and is operated by the Village of Clinton Public Works Department. Once the ice plant is activated, a dedicated group of volunteers from the Curling Club flood the rink and build the ice surface.
During the off-season, the Curling Rink is available for rent to host events such as smaller parties, training sessions, meetings, etc. The lounge area upstairs can easily accommodate 50-75 participants.

Village Fitness Room
The Village Fitness Room is located on the right side of the Village Office at 1423 Cariboo Highway. The fitness room is open all hours via swipe card entry, with the exception of closure between 5-6am for cleaning. READ MORE>
To activate your membership, please bring any swipe card to the Village Office during office hours (no debit/credit cards or driver’s licences, but point cards work great). After your card is activated, you will be able to access the fitness room during opening hours for the remainder of the month.
Rates are as follows:
Month: $20.00 per month
Drop-in: $2.00 per use (only available Monday-Friday, 8am-4pm)
**Membership for July and August 2021 is no charge, and regular rates will resume in September.**
Fitness Room Rules
- You must be 17 years or older to use the fitness room.
- 16 year-olds can work out but must be accompanied by an adult, no exceptions.
- NO children under the age of 16 are permitted in the gym – period. Anyone who does not abide by this rule will lose their membership privileges.
- Only water is permitted in the gym. No juice, pop, or other sugary drinks or food is allowed.
- Machines must be wiped down after use. There are spray bottles with disinfectant provided along with wipes for your convenience.
- No outside footwear is allowed to be worn. This keeps the dirt and mud from being dragged across the floor.
Clinton Memorial Hall
In 1920, the citizens of Clinton built the Memorial Hall, a tribute to Clinton area residents who did not return from the Great War. The hall, built by volunteers, has a spring floor, made of maple hardwood, one of the few in Canada. It is said that the floor rises up to meet the happy feet of dancing couples. READ MORE >
The Hall boasts a large dance floor, stage, green room, sound and lighting system, catering kitchen and bar facility. The kitchen is equipped with 2 natural gas convection stoves, commercial dishwasher, fridges, and enough dishes and cutlery to cater an event seating 180 guests.
The Memorial Hall is the ideal venue for weddings, fundraisers, dinner and dances, auctions, concerts, plays and can also accommodate small to medium sized conferences. Gallery style seating capacity is 236.
