Small Business BC provides comprehensive business information and planning resources for starting and growing a business in British Columbia.
Small Business BC also hosts the BC Marketplace which hosts listings for nearly 2000 BC owned businesses. Discover local businesses or list your business for free by visiting the online marketplace here.
Support Local BC
Support Local BC is an online gift certificate marketplace with 100% of the proceeds going directly to the business owners. It’s free for eligible, small, independently-owned businesses to sign up.

Women’s Enterprise Centre is a non-profit organization devoted to helping BC women start, lead and grow their own business.
Work BC
Work BC provides a wide range of services, programs, and resources for workers. Some of their services include
- Assistance finding jobs and exploring careers
- Wage subsidy programs
- Training and education
- Business planning resources
- Employer resources including job postings, funding, and programs for job and skills training
- Resources for all British Columbian workers
Most of Work BC’s resources are available online but there are also Work BC Offices located nearby in the communities of Ashcroft and 100 Mile House.
