Help Shape Clinton’s Future: Upcoming OCP & Zoning Engagement Sessions

Help Shape Clinton’s Future: Upcoming OCP & Zoning Engagement Sessions

🗓️ Join the Conversation: Help Shape Clinton’s Future!

We’re inviting Clinton residents to be part of the second round of community engagement for the Village’s Official Community Plan (OCP) and Zoning Bylaw (ZBL) updates. Your input is essential in creating a clear, modern, and locally driven vision that supports Clinton’s growth and sustainability.

📍 Where We’re At
Following community feedback gathered in February 2025, the project team has reviewed the existing OCP and Zoning Bylaw to identify improvements and clarify how the bylaws can better align with provincial legislation. Now, we’re reconnecting with the community to present proposed changes and gather your thoughts.

🔍 Key Topics We’re Exploring

  • A revised community vision for Clinton’s future

  • Rezoning residential properties in commercial areas to reduce non-conformance

  • A new Agricultural Zone that aligns with the Agricultural Land Commission Act

  • Introduction of primary and secondary land uses to better manage land use and preserve key commercial areas

  • Community input on:

    • Daycare, office space, and mobile vendor locations

    • Shed placement, fencing, and parking lot surfacing

    • Housing types, livestock, and sea cans

🗓️ Engagement Event Schedule
We’ve planned a mix of pop-up events and an open house to give everyone a chance to participate. Stop by, ask questions, and share your ideas.

📬 Can’t Attend?
We understand that not everyone can make it to an event. An online feedback form will be available soon to ensure your voice is heard.

🛠️ What Happens Next?
This engagement is part of a multi-phase process that will wrap up with Council adoption of the updated OCP and ZBL by December 31, 2025. This round focuses on how your feedback is shaping the drafts—and we’ll be back later this summer to ask: “Did we get it right?”

Let’s shape the future of Clinton—together. 💬
