Mayor & Council

Clinton was incorporated on July 16, 1963, and lies within Electoral Area "E" of the Thompson-Nicola Regional District (TNRD). The mayor, who also sits on the TNRD Board of Directors, and four councillors, each serving three year concurrent terms, govern the Village of Clinton. Clinton is staffed by:

The TNRD, covering an area of 45,279 square kilometres was incorporated in 1967. It is managed by a Regional Board of Directors, consisting of ten elected rural and twelve appointed municipal council members.

As a Regional Government, the TNRD provides the following functions and services: 

    • Building Inspection 
    • Emergency Preparedness
    • Film Commission 

    • Mosquito Control
    • Noxious Weed Control 
    • Public Library
    • Solid Waste Management/Refuse
